Ansonia Rescue Medical Services (ARMS) would like to thank the community for its support during the recent boot drive/fund raiser. Your generosity brought in over $3900 toward the purchase of a power stretcher. This stretcher has the capability of lifting over 700 lb without injuring the personnel. It is battery operated! As with modern technology the price is not cheap. One power stretcher costs approximately $11,000. That may sound like a lot of money but when compared to the cost of one back injury, this is pocket change.
ARMS will be continuing this fund raising venture until funds are raised to purchase two power stretchers $22,000. Businesses or citizens interested in assisting in this fund drive may mail donations to Ansonia Rescue Medical Services, PO Box 149, Ansonia, CT 06401. Please note power stretcher fund in the memo section. Donations are tax deductible as well.
