The City of Ansonia has received a Small Cities grant for $400,000 for 0% interest loans for housing rehabilitation.  The purpose of the grant is to assist in making health and safety improvements to the homes of qualified low and moderate income Ansonia residents.   Eligible improvements include, among others, roofs, windows, doors, siding, electrical and plumbing upgrades; septic systems; lead remediation; ADA improvements (ramps; railings; grab bars etc).   To qualify for a housing rehab loan residents must meet income limits, must have homeowner’s insurance and be up to date on local taxes.  Application documents are available on the town website.  Applications will be accepted at City Hall beginning January 18, 2021. Participants will be selected on a first come, first served basis.
